Adelante: 2010 Accomplishments
As we welcome the New Year and look back at what we've achieved in 2010, we are proud to say that we closed the year with a profit. This remains our biggest accomplishment and as Micro Finance experts say - it takes ten years for MFIs to become sustainable and we did it! We couldn't have accomplished this without your support. With your help, we achieved significant progress in 2010:
We built a stronger and more efficient team, through changes in administration, reduction in personnel and recruitment of new key staff members.
We implemented a new and improved bonus structure for the field employees to keep them motivated and dedicated to our mission.
We made several changes to our methodology to provide better services for our clients and increase retention, such as new credit ceiling poilicies to provide new opportunites for our clients according to thier financial behavior and payment capacity.
We restructured our education department to have it fall under the credit department and provide the business training our clients need. We are currently implementing a new educational methodology in a series of business topics that is more interactive and responsive to our clients' needs.
We reviewed our loan application/qualification paperwork and have updated and applied new documentation.
We are in the process of implementing a new method of measuring our social impact with a tool developed by the Grameen Foundation.
We have combined our Marketing resources and we are using our Honduran staff to create projects like the Adelante Calendar. Please be on the lookout for more great work by our Honduran team!
