More than just credit, Adelante offers an integrated microfinance-business development education model to meet the needs of borrowers. We are always considering new products and innovative services to better achieve our mission.

Adelante clients used to receive business administration training at bi-monthly assembly meetings on a range of topics to help them grow their small businesses. Since Covid we have had to pivot and Well-Being Officers now provide custom one-on-one mentoring. We are actively seeking financial support to ensure financial literacy modules are available online to Adelante borrowers. By providing information and training that women can access from home or local community centers, individuals obtain access to skills and information that help increase profits and contribute to improvement in quality of life. Adelante also offers complimentary content on relevant issues faced in the communities we serve, such as health and hygiene.

Along with education lessons, Adelante emphasizes building relationships with its clients.  Since Adelante’s lending model is based on trust, Adelante Well-Being Officers build relationship and rapport with borrowers. These staff members often hail from the same areas they serve, meaning they truly understand the unique struggles the women in those communities face and are best positioned to provide resources that empower.
